A/N: THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR READING STARGAZERS! IT ACTUALLY WON THE CONTEST!! *happy dancing for DAYS* so to celebrate and since y'all asked so nicely, I wrote a bit of an end part. Not as long as the first, just a bit of an aftermath from that night. Warning: Yao goes slightly 2P close to the end ;)

The first thing that registered to you was that a warm light was shining directly in your face.

You blinked, squinting and looked around, trying to gain some kind of bearing. The sun was just rising, its bright rays broken up by fluffy, solid looking white clouds.

“Sunrise wakeup call? That’s different, I like it. No annoying alarms.” you quipped letting out a yawn.

You tried sitting up before you felt a pressure around you waist.

“Hm? Wh- OH!”

As soon as you realized who was holding you, the memories of last night came back. You and Yao joking around during dinner, how weird he was acting when you came outside, you falling on him, the stars... You covered your face with your hands as you recalled the kiss. You could almost feel the heat get worse as you noticed him beginning to stir. Yao let out a yawn as he stretched his arms over his head. Warm amber eyes lit up in recognition as he noticed you beside him.

“Aiyah, _ why are we outside?” he managed to get out before another yawn escaped.

You stared at him in disbelief. If he seriously doesn’t remember I swear...

“What? What happened? Wh-wait...”

he trailed off as his face went through a very funny series of expressions. Confusion, recollection, then finally, flushing as his eyes widened in askance. You nodded, suddenly becoming very preoccupied by the progress of a ladybug crawling up a blade of grass. There was an awkward silence...then:

“S-So...do you want to get breakfast, aru?”

You chuckled at that. Definitely has his priorities straight. The Chinese man couldn’t even meet your eyes. He was looking at the sky, his hands shifting nervously under the sleeves, anywhere but you. He was still blushing and a slight frown creased his brows. Your heart was pounding hard and an incredibly stupid idea had come to your mind. You considered  for a moment before deciding to act on it. You jumped up from your sitting position and planted a swift kiss on his cheek before attempting to return to your original position. Lack of coordination was having none of it and you ended up inches from the ground, with Yao holding you up by your wrists.

“Aiyah! _You’ve got to be more careful aru,” he scolded, the effect ruined by the smile on his face. You smirked right back, helping yourself up and skipping ahead of him to the house.

“Now why would I do that? You’d be there to catch me anyway, right?” you shot back over your shoulder.

You mentally fist pumped when you saw that your response stopped him in his tracks. Giggling, you continued inside looking for something to eat.

<(^-^)>

Yao watched you go inside with his thoughts swirling like a hurricane. He had kissed you. He had actually kissed you. And you didn't reject him. He let out a sigh as a smile came unbidden to his face, as he recalled the memory. Then reality crashed down and stopped him short.

You weren't a country.

You weren't even from here.

You had a home, a family, friends.

You had to return to them at some point.

Each thought came and hit him like a sledgehammer and hurt twice as much. Checking a bit to see if he was out of view, he slid down to the round with a groan, burying his face in his crossed arms. Hopelessness and frustration overcame him.

“Stupid! Stupid, stupid! Why did I think this was a good idea, aru?” he berated himself.

“Yao? I can hear you,” you interrupted uncertainly, poking your head out the door.

The nation jerked, startled. You ignored the motion and sat beside him, drawing your knees up to your chest. You took a deep breath and started.

“I’ve been thinking too. About last night... and I know that I’ll have to go home, and that we might not see each other again...”

At that you swallowed the unhelpful lump that decided to grow in your throat at that very moment. Blinking rapidly you pressed on.

“Damn, this is harder than I thought,” you laughed nervously. China said nothing. His gaze was trained ahead, waiting for you to continue.

“I-I guess what I'm trying to say is that...even if those were at the forefront of my mind last night....I wouldn't have changes a single thing," you said with confidence. A few seconds later you felt a pair or arms wrap around you. Yao was holding you close, trapping you against him. And the return of the butterflies commences....You hugged him back, relishing the warmth and taking comfort in his steady, if a bit speedy, heartbeat.

“That makes two of us, aru” he murmured.
“I’m glad.... Hey? Yao?”
“Mhm?”
“Your heart’s still beating too fast,”
“A- Aiyah!" he spluttered, his embarrassment giving way to indignation as he watched you clutch your stomach with laughter.

“It’s not funny aru!” he yelled, shoving your shoulder.

You rolled over, still laughing hard enough to have tears streaming down your cheeks.

“Dude it so is! You’re like, ancient....and you’re flustered like....an anime school girl!” you managed to gasp out.

“ Shut up,” he growled crossing his arms, his face nearly scarlet.

“Awww, is Yao embarrassed?” you cooed snickering.

You were having so much fun at China’s expense you didn’t notice his change in demeanor. He was shifting from being mortified to a strange mixture of cockiness and annoyance.

“_ I’m warning you, aru,”

“C’mon Yao, you know I’m joking around,” you said lightly, righting yourself and giving him a sideways glance. Yao’s arms were crossed, his face in shadow. Crap, maybe I did go too far, I forgot he wouldn’t know me like I know him...you thought anxiously.

“Yao? Are you mad at me? I didn’t mean to....I mean, I was just messing around...”

Yao lifted his head slightly. His hooded gaze locked with yours as a smirk slowly grew on his face. Oh sh!t. The thought barely had the time to cross your mind before he launched himself at you, knocking you on your back.

“I’ll show you flustered, aru” he muttered darkly before he pressed his lips to yours. Your eyes widened comically before they fluttered shut. This kiss was definitely different from the one last night. A muffles yelp of surprise escaped as he sucked lightly on your lower lip. Yao pressed his advantage, slipping his tongue into your mouth, pulling you upwards and against him. He smirked as you hesitantly ran your fingers through his hair. The soaring in his stomach was back with a vengeance but this time he didn't fight against it. You let out a soft moan as he deepened the kiss, and responded as best as you could and blushing as you felt him chuckle slightly at your reaction. After what seemed like ages, he slowly pulled away, giving your lip a quick nip as a parting gift.

You stared at each other panting slightly, faces flushed, both of you seemingly at a loss for words. He smirked smugly at you once more and you jerked back, trying to look anywhere but at him, lest you spontaneously combusted. Or get overwhelmed by the familiar, more intense fluttering inside. Either one felt like a very real danger at that point.

“I win, aru,” he stated suddenly, sticking out his tongue at you like a five year old.

“Oooh ho ho no-” you began protesting before you heard someone clear their throat. Much to your mortification, England and Norway were standing behind you two. England looked as embarrassed as you felt, and seemed to be struggling with his words. Norway seemed entirely disinterested in the proceedings and decided to take over.

“Oh _ We just dropped by to tell you we found a way to carry you back and forth between the worlds...if you still want to go back home, that is,”
